Our room was a good size and felt cozy. The main problem was finding quite a lot of hairs around the room and bathroom when we arrived. Still, the staff were so kind and helpful, and the service was excellent. There were lots of good coffee spots nearby and plenty within walking distance, including the train station. Great hotel in a perfect location!

I spent a lot of time reading books in the Lounge at night. It’s a cozy place, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are superb. The bathroom and fittings were lovely, and the free coffee and supplements made it easy to feel comfortable and enjoy the stay. Everything you might ask for is nice here!

The shower in our room was massive, a welcome surprise compared with other showers and bathrooms in Japan. The hotel is on a quiet side street but still an easy walk to Kyoto station. Staff were very friendly and didn’t make me feel shunned as a foreigner at all. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, including ILHA FORMOSA, and you can also walk to a train station to get pretty much anywhere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kyoto. The location was convenient, and we stayed four nights. The staff were brilliant, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, and had lots of information about the local area. We had a wonderful time here.

Our friends loved the coffee machine with pods, and the staff also helped transfer our luggage to our hotel Tokyo, even though we spent a night in Hakone in between. The rooms were wonderful and the service superb. The washroom was wide, with a sliding barn door, and the shower was spic and span.
