Hotel in the Green - Adults Only

The cleanliness was seriously disappointing. We found condoms around the bed, and there was leftover lube on the couch when we arrived, apparently from a previous client. Smoking is allowed in most rooms, so keep that in mind. This is a love hotel, and it came with a lot of problems.

We left a day early after finding bedbugs, and getting the refund for the unused night was a hassle. The hotel first refused, then agreed after we contacted Booking, but said we had to come back in person. By then we were already far away, on our way to Tokyo. The place was filthy. Even if guests usually stay just one night because it’s a love hotel, that’s no excuse for such poor cleanliness. For stays longer than one night, there’s also an inconvenient rule: return your key card every day and tell the staff when you’ll be back. Finding bedbugs was the worst part, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed for two nights in Kyoto and used this love hotel like a regular hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and it suited what we needed. It’s about a 15-minute walk from a subway station. If you want to be close to the tourist spots, though, you may want to stay somewhere nearer.

There’s no greenery around despite the name, just roads and cars, and the grated windows face a noisy highway. Inside, our room was filthy. We were bitten by bedbugs overnight and found used condoms under the mattress, as shown in the photos. We left a day early, exhausted and covered in bites. There wasn’t even an apology, only a message saying we wouldn’t get a refund for the last night. Avoid this place.
