We fit our three suitcases comfortably in the spacious room, and the beds were comfy. The hotel is conveniently close to Kyoto Station, a shopping mall, and a coin laundry. The staff were nice, and email replies came quickly. We were very satisfied and would stay here again.

Budget Inn was a good find for our family of four. We wanted reasonably priced accommodation near Kyoto Station and got a clean, pleasant hostel with what we needed for a good night’s sleep. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, with 24-hour convenience stores nearby and bus stops just around the corner for reaching most Kyoto attractions. We didn’t use the kitchen or common area, but both looked clean and well equipped. We had an early checkout, so dropping the key in the deposit box was very convenient.

Back when this was called Backpacker's Ryokan Budget Inn, around 2015, three of us shared a private room meant for five, with an ensuite bathroom. The room and linens were clean, the price was right, and the staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions for the area.

For a small hotel, this was great. It was very clean, the staff were nice, and they let us leave our luggage while we explored Kyoto.

Called Budget Inn, it was clean and really well furnished, with everything we needed. There are good places to eat nearby too.
