Good value for the price, with spacious, inexpensive rooms and an equipped kitchen. There's also a washing machine and a big bathroom with a laundry drying function in the shower. Bus stops and a couple of konbinis are nearby.

The location was convenient and the rooms were great, better than I expected. But the lobby and the hallways outside the rooms smelled strongly of mold. It was pretty bad.
We’re still trying to get our money back for the nights we couldn’t stay. After asking us to leave, the hotel refused to refund the remaining nights, even though they wouldn’t provide the futon bedding we needed. We arrived at 8 p.m. with two children and found no bedding for the futon. Staff asked us to pay another $168 for it. We’d already booked and paid, so we refused. They told us to leave while we were on the phone with Expedia. My family was upset, and we found somewhere else so the children could sleep. The service was the worst we had during our whole trip in Japan. Staff were rude and didn’t take the children into consideration. The rooms are small too. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially with nicer places in the area.
We had a great stay with our family. The room was larger than we expected, with enough space for our child to play, and having both a little kitchen and a washing machine was really useful. The people were welcoming and the location was nice. We couldn’t find anything better, and I’d definitely recommend this place.
The bus stops nearby made it easy to get around Kyoto, and the Sanin Line was close for trips to Kyoto Station. It’s away from the touristy areas, though those are only a 20-30 minute bus ride away, which didn’t seem bad to me. There are plenty of local restaurants and convenience stores, plus grocery stores about a 10-minute walk away. I stayed at Stay Sakura for around 50-60 days during my three months studying abroad in Japan. It started to feel like a second home. Having a kitchen and washing machine in the room helped a lot. The bathroom was spacious, and being able to watch TV in the tub and use the sauna settings on the shower and bathtub combo was a nice bonus. Sana and Page were always friendly and ready to help with things like extra towels, detergent pods, a desk, or a lamp. The cleaning staff were just as nice. They changed our towels every three days and the linens every six. I’d recommend staying here.
