Having the whole building to ourselves meant we could keep our own pace without worrying about anyone else. It was clean, with a lovely Japanese atmosphere, and the cleaning was thorough enough that I felt at ease. The landlord was calm and kind, which helped a lot. There’s a convenience store and a station within walking distance, so getting around was easy. I stayed while sightseeing and would choose this place again on another trip to Kyoto.

The peaceful atmosphere and Goemon-style bath are a lovely way to unwind after a day out. You can also enjoy the traditional courtyard garden. This is a private stay for one group per day in a Kyoto townhouse about 120 years old. Gojo Subway Station and the Karasuma Gojo bus stop are nearby, making it a convenient base for sightseeing.

The host’s thoughtful service meant a lot to us, and the generous amenities helped make the stay comfortable. It’s a traditional Japanese townhouse inn with a renovated, very clean interior. The location is convenient, right by Gojo Station on the Karasuma Subway Line, and only a short taxi ride from Kyoto Station.
