A bus stop is just a two-minute walk away, with services that connect across Kyoto. Kyoto station is only four city bus stops away, so this is a good option for a stay in the city. The rooms are a decent size and come with toiletries. Check-in is at 3:00 pm; early check-in can be requested, but only if rooms are available. Complimentary tea and coffee are available in the restaurant, though not in the morning before 9:30 AM. Breakfast costs 1200 yen per person if it isn't included in your package. Lawson and Family mart are among the nearby convenience stores, right across the street.

The beds were comfortable, and my twin room had a decent gap between them, which you don't usually get. Staff were very kind and helpful. It was nice to be able to open a window a little for fresh air, even though local laws don't allow it to open fully. Higher floors offer a nice view of the mountains and Kyoto. Downstairs, there's a breakfast area and a machine serving different coffees and matcha latte all day. The location isn't far from Kyoto station, and two subway stations are about a 10-minute walk away. One line takes you to Arashiyama, and the other goes to different parts of Kyoto. Several major temples are nearby, including Nishi Honganji. There are also a few small bikes downstairs, handy for riding to the river or exploring the area. Walking to the river takes about 20 minutes.

It's affordable and not too far from the station. One of my favorite hotels in Kyoto.
