The location made it easy to explore local attractions, and it was peaceful when we wanted to unwind. Our hosts were kind and attentive, and helped with recommendations and little thoughtful touches. The rooms were bright, spotless, and spacious, with very comfortable beds. The house was beautifully kept, and its tasteful decor felt both elegant and homely. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. One of the best places we’ve booked.

The outdoor bath was amazing, and we really enjoyed our stay. This renovated honmachi blends old and new beautifully and looks just like the pictures. It was clean, and check-in was easy. The location is great too, tucked away from the busy main streets in a quiet, secluded spot. I’d definitely recommend it.

After a full day of walking, it was lovely to come back to such a quiet area and relax. The location was perfect for exploring Kyoto, and we had a great time staying here.

The welcome matcha was lovely, and the staff were adorable. We also enjoyed the breakfast for an authentic experience. The house itself is really nice, but construction has just started next door, so you have to walk through building materials to reach it. It seemed lighter on Sunday, and if you’re out during the day it may not bother you. I wish I’d known, as I might have booked elsewhere. Still, amazing place.

The rooms have an authentic Japanese feel with some modern touches, and the location is in a nice, quiet area. The woman who helped us was patient, understanding, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The care was amazing. I’ll definitely come back next year to this hidden gem. Thanks for a great stay!
