I was traveling around here for a week over the 2019 New Year holiday and stopped by for breakfast twice. The owner was so nice. He noticed I was struggling to peel the sticker off my cold drink without tearing it, so he gave me two extra cute stickers. If you love cheesecake, don’t miss the cake here! The coffee latte made my day too.

Such a quiet little spot, and a real gem. I wish it showed up on more “top cafes of Kyoto” lists. The coffee is well priced, and the hot chocolate was 400 yen, with a nice rich flavor. They speak English here too, which makes it easy for tourists.

We’re Australians traveling around Japan and had been searching for a proper coffee. This shop was started by an Australian, and it’s the best coffee we’ve had on the trip so far. The lattes and cakes were delicious. Highly recommend.

Lucas was so kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere was great. I ordered the veggie sandwich and a cappuccino, both delicious. That cappuccino was probably one of the best I’ve ever had.

The grilled chicken sandwich and hot chocolate were both spot on. The baguette was surprisingly fresh, like it had just been made. There’s a free WiFi hotspot, though I’m not sure whether the cafe provides it. I found the cafe name confusing: Google Maps shows it in Japanese, while the storefront uses English. I wasn’t sure it was the same place until I went inside and ordered. It’s not hard to find once you know where to look.
