The bed is roomy, and upstairs the tall ceiling and big beams give the small place some character. There’s a kitchen too, though the bathroom only has a compact tub. You’re in a quiet residential neighborhood, with parking nearby and Hankyu Nishikyogoku about a 15-minute walk away. Supermarkets and Aeon Mall are under 10 minutes away. Food options are especially good: Ogawa Coffee Main Store, Ramen Hosokawa, and Saizeriya are a minute away, and a short walk gets you to Shiogensui, Aitsu no Ramen Kataguruma, and Mugi no Yoake. Very Kyoto, with ramen shops everywhere. I love Ogawa Coffee ❤️

The staff were really nice, which I appreciated. I was there in the middle of winter, though, and it got quite cold because the insulation and floor heating weren’t working.
