The lobby restaurant serves breakfast, with the same two choices each day, Japanese or Western. You can also get lunch and dinner there at reasonable prices, and guests can ask reception for a discount voucher. Getting around was easy: Kyoto Train Station and the bus station are about a ten-minute walk away, and there are bus stops near the hotel that go to attractions.

The rooms were very clean, neat, and well kept. This hotel is a convenient, comfortable base for exploring Kyoto’s cultural sights, and it felt thoughtfully managed.

I stayed one night on a business trip. The room had enough space and useful amenities, and JR rail/Shinkansen station was just a four-minute walk away.

Small room, but it worked nicely for one person and the view was brilliant. The amenities were good, and there was a robe and a bathtub. There wasn’t a table for my things since the TV table was already taken up with phones and other stuff. The bed had a stone pillow, with a memory foam one available in the cupboard. Good for the price.

Our twin-bed room was small, but there was just enough space for our luggage. The free shuttle to Kyoto Station ran often and made it convenient to get around. There’s also a nearby train station, plus a bus stop with service to kiyomizu dera.
