This was my second stay, in late December 2025, during the Great Chinese Tourism boycott of Japan. The weekday rate was great, 8,000 yen including breakfast. The staff all spoke English to me by default and were professional. The shuttle back to Kyoto Station was comfortable and convenient. The large bath area was fairly clean, with a nice arrangement of trees and plants to look at while soaking. The shower area and changing room were clean and well kept. My room was on the nicer side, with a clean bathroom, sink, and bathtub, plus a large window looking out at the sky over a quiet part of the city. Nothing amazing, but the bed was comfortable and there were no issues. I’d consider returning. I was confused by the card in the room saying breakfast had to be reserved the night before. I hadn’t asked for breakfast at check-in, but my room plan included it and no reservation was needed. I only figured that out at checkout. They should explain this more clearly upfront.

This was our favourite place to stay in Japan, and we loved it. The u-bell hotel staff were super lovely and spoke really good English. Our room was tidy and clean, and they replaced the towels each day. It was also very close to the train station. We’d definitely recommend it and plan to come back.

Breakfast had enough options for vegetarians. The washers and dryers were convenient and easy to use, and the room was big enough for me to stay comfortably with three large suitcases. A great hotel, I was there for five nights.

The room size was fine compared with other hotels in the same price range, and it was comfortable. There’s a subway station nearby for getting to the city center, as well as a convenience store. They also run a shuttle bus to Kyoto Station. If we get the chance to visit Kyoto again, we’d consider staying here.

The room was very good, and I loved having a dryer and self-service laundry. The location is superb if you want to get to Fushimi Inari Temple before it gets crowded, about a 20-minute walk away. It’s especially strategic during New Year and public holidays. I’ll stay here again.
