M’s Hotel Kyoto Station Kasuga

We really appreciated the front desk staff storing our luggage when we arrived early with a lot of bags. It let us head out and explore instead of waiting around for check-in. The room was generally clean, had basic amenities, and was big enough to open one large and one medium suitcase, reasonable for Kyoto. M’s Hotel Kyoto Station Kasuga is about an 8-10 minute walk from Kyoto Station and just three minutes from AEON Mall, which made meals, shopping, and daily errands easy. Check-in and check-out were quick. The cleaning staff weren’t very friendly, though, and the soundproofing wasn’t great, which could bother light sleepers. Despite those minor issues, it’s good value with a very convenient location.

The room was spacious and clean, right across from Aeon Mall. There’s also a laundry room and a water refill station. I really liked this hotel, especially how nice and helpful the staff were with luggage delivery. I emailed several times to ask about whether that service was possible, and they always replied kindly. It’s quite close to Kyoto Station.

Right by Aeon mall, with shops, a pharmacy, groceries, and lots of places to eat nearby. Don Quijote is within walking distance too. The area felt safe, even walking around at night, and the hotel isn’t too far from Kyoto Station. The place was clean and convenient. Staff were nice and helpful, check-in and check-out were quick, and the room size was reasonable. The heating and cooling unit was quiet and worked well. It was just what I needed. Thanks for a great stay.

The hotel itself was nice, but I was disappointed by how unresponsive one receptionist was when I needed help with my missing luggage. I’ve stayed in hotels in many cities, and even when staff elsewhere didn’t speak English, they tried to help with Google Translate or another solution. Here, he just said “no” and “I don’t know.” He didn’t offer any help or encouragement. I haven’t encountered less helpful hotel reception staff. Please train the receptionists to provide better service.
