Beautiful place, lots of space, and right in the center.

A cozy, classy place with a fancy feel.

The townhouse was lovely, but the futon mattress had been laid upside down at first. I felt the seams while sleeping and was bothered by them, until I noticed the right side up when the cleaning staff came. The washing machine was frustrating too: it said 30 minutes, but seemed to take three hours to finish, lol. I thought the dryer was the only issue, but when I ran it overnight, it stopped partway through with an error.

We stayed with our newborn and four-year-old, and the roomy layout, futons, and tatami room made it easy to settle in as a family. The townhouse was very clean and tidy, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. I’d pictured a townhouse being cold in winter, but all the rooms were warm when we arrived, even the bathroom floors. Staff were only there for check-in, yet their attention to detail came through in the space. Leaving our luggage at check-in and having it delivered to the townhouse was very convenient. The Western and Japanese breakfasts we ordered were delicious, homemade, and made with high-quality ingredients. Portions were generous, even for a man, and delivery came right on time, so we just had to pick them up, which made the wait easier. Not having a check-out process made leaving stress-free. With COVID-19 leading us to limit contact with others, it was valuable to interact with staff only briefly at check-in. There was also a system for getting a quick response if anything came up, which gave me peace of mind. We could spend time with our loved ones while experiencing Kyoto in a townhouse. Thank you. I’d like to stay here again.
