I had to cancel a one-night booking just two days ahead after being diagnosed with COVID-19. I’d only booked to meet family visiting from abroad and share a meal during peak holiday season in touristy, competitive Kyoto. I understand there was no reason they had to release me from the booking on such short notice, but the establishment waived every fee. That flexibility and care for customers really impressed me. Thanks so much again. I’ll definitely stay here in the future.

There are plenty of good restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops close by, plus a convenience store right across the street and a subway station nearby. The hotel also leaves a useful guide to local restaurants; we tried a few and liked them. We stayed a week in a Twin Room that looked just like the photos. The shower had really strong pressure, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were very kind whenever we saw them. Just know the front desk is open only a few hours each day, though that didn’t bother us. The area isn’t especially striking to look at, and you can sometimes hear cars or sirens from the main road.

A good choice for independent travelers, and especially handy for a group. The location is great, with tasty food nearby and convenience stores close at hand. There’s a fridge, plus everything from face wash and toner to drip coffee. Definitely worth it.

I only went to the bar, not the hotel. Had a gin and tonic, an old fashioned and a gin gimlet, and every one was delicious. The drinks were made with real care. Highly recommend!
