We had a good time here. There's a bit more room for travelers, comfortable beds, and good air conditioning and heating. The laundry machine and cooking plate were handy facilities. For a flat fare of 230¥, you can take the city bus into the center.

The place is clean and spacious, in ryokan style, and takes up both floors. Sleeping is upstairs, along with one toilet. The kitchen has a microwave and the utensils are all there, plus a washing machine. There's no dryer, but plenty of places to hang clothes. The Google location is wrong.

Getting to public transport isn't especially convenient, but that was alright. The renovated townhouse is great, and it feels like it may once have been a shop. It's a little tricky to find in the narrow alley, near the shrine on your left.

The neighborhood is very quiet, and Kyoto Station or nearby bus stops are a 15-20 minute walk away. The apartment is pleasant, though the soundproofing could be better, which I think is normal in Japan. The bathroom is amazing!
