The water pressure was excellent, and the house has two toilets and one bathroom. It can sleep up to seven when fully booked: two people on the first floor, three in the second-floor tatami room, and two in the bedroom. It’s a charming, antique place, more than 100 years old. I’d recommend it for families or groups of four or more.

The owner has added thoughtful touches throughout this old-style Kyoto townhouse. Tradition and modernity come together nicely here, and the space is comfortable, well designed, and pleasing to look at. I’d happily stay again. Highly recommended!
