We liked the spacious, well-kept apartment, with two rooms, modern touches, Japanese-style interiors, and plenty of amenities. It’s about a three-minute walk from the Hankyu Line, which is a plus if you’re arriving that way. We’d probably choose it again on another trip to Kyoto. The kitchenette could use basic things like oil, pepper, and salt. It’s also a little away from the main Kyoto shopping belt and other attractions, and there are very few food options nearby at night. Still, we had a good stay.

I loved the peaceful house and its great location in Kyoto. It gives you a real feeling of traveling in Japan, and I think foreigners would enjoy it. My mother really liked it too, even though it’s on the pricey side. Still, for the price, you should know that towel changes and luggage storage aren’t available. It’s near Kyoto Station, but the walk is a bit much if you’re with an elderly mother. Getting to the tourist attractions takes about 40 minutes, and on the bus you have to stand the whole way. For a family trip, staying nearer the station or the sights might work better. From the second day on, we used Uber each time. It was about 17,000 won one way to the tourist attractions!

Clean and nice, and the other guests were quick to respond to my messages, which I appreciated. The second floor had no TV, and the room where the futons were laid out was dim. It felt a little too spacious for two, so I’d recommend staying with four or more.
