Resi Stay The Kyoto

The location is decent, and the staff member we met was helpful. The room would probably work if you only need somewhere to sleep and don't have much luggage, but we wouldn't come back. We knew this was budget accommodation and didn't expect luxury or a large room, but advertising it for four people feels like a stretch. We were traveling domestically with one suitcase for all our things and still had nowhere to put it, so we kept tripping over it for the two days we stayed. Anyone with more luggage would struggle. There were plenty of carpet stains, which I could overlook at this price, but the sofa bed was heavily stained and uncomfortable. The bedding kept slipping off overnight because it wouldn't tuck into the bed. There was no towel rail either. With four people sharing, the room became messy and chaotic.

What made the stay special was waking up almost beside a beautiful temple. The location was really good, and the room was spacious. We came in March with a group of friends, and this was our best hotel experience in Japan. We loved everything about it. The receptionist was very kind and helped us with everything. Thanks, Resi Stay, for the time and memories, even if my thanks is a bit late.

It may be a little small, but the studio worked perfectly for our family traveling with a toddler. There's a functioning kitchen and washing machine, and the bathroom vent also dries laundry. We had a bathtub and complimentary bath salts, plus a nearby supermarket with fresh products. The location is amazing, on a quiet, charming alley close to kyoto station.

The laundry was a real plus, and there's a delicious ramen place on the next block. We stayed here in Kyoto, but the room wasn't very clean and the hotel is quite far from the tourist attractions. I probably wouldn't have chosen it if the room hadn't been Hello Kitty themed.
