Rihga Gran Kyoto

We stayed one night at the Rihga Gran in late October, and the staff were incredible, happy to help and going above and beyond with questions about possibly extending our stay. The hotel was immaculate, with a modern lobby, bar and restaurant that had touches of traditional design. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large TV in the main bed area, tea and coffee facilities, and plenty of luggage storage. The bathroom was large and modern, with a separate sink, toilet and wet room. There was also a covered balcony looking out over the Main Street. Public baths and laundry facilities are available too. The hotel is a short walk from Kyoto train station, with excellent local and national rail links and plenty of shops, restaurants and other amenities close by. We recommend it, and are grateful to the staff for making our stay so good.

We slept really well in the clean, comfortable rooms. The hotel was lovely, and the staff were kind and helpful. It’s close to the train station, with malls nearby and plenty of restaurants and konbini. I especially liked the communal bath and used it on a few nights. We’d stay here again if we come back to Kyoto.

The room was a little small, but the beds were comfortable. The onsen was lovely after a long day walking around, and there were complimentary drinks and some snacks. The hotel is clean and modern, just a few minutes’ walk from Kyoto station, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A nice stay in a good location.

The lounge was a favourite, with free drinks to enjoy during the day, and our room had more space than the ones I’d stayed in earlier in Japan. The hotel felt affordable and friendly, with a lovely Japanese atmosphere alongside a modern feel. Its location was perfect, just one block from Kyoto’s main train station. It’s my favourite place we’ve stayed since arriving in Japan.
