The private bath was a real treat, and I loved having my own little garden alongside the futon and tatami in the traditional-style room. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Being right by Kyoto station was another big plus. I only wish we’d booked a longer stay.

A very clean room with traditional Japanese bedding, and a great spot near Kyoto station. The staff were warm and the service was good. I’d stay here again next time.

It was a peaceful, pleasant stay, with the train station and places to eat both close by. Ms M Sasaki at the front desk deserves a special thank you. She was friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to make my stay more enjoyable and memorable. 🙏🏻

The room was huge and really cute, and the service was very good. The staff don’t speak much English, so we sometimes relied on Google Translate. The Onsen was much too hot for me, but it was well equipped, with things guests might have forgotten, like a hair tie, razor, shower cap, toothbrush and toothpaste. The Onsen is separated by gender and by tattoo friendly and not. There’s also a private one you can rent for 3000 yen.

The staff were kind and helpful, and Kyoto Station is just a couple hundred steps away. Breakfast was marvelous in every way, a real gift to emperors. It’s a lovely place to stay, especially if sleeping on a futon on the floor suits you.
