The room was spotless and really comfortable, especially the bed and blanket. It had its own shower room and toilet, with towels and tissues supplied. There’s no elevator, so you’ll need to use the stairs, but I found the room and its facilities made up for that. Uzumasa Station is close, and Arashiyama is only one station away. If you like walking, it’s an easy distance. Ukyo is wonderfully quiet, which I loved. I enjoyed my stay so much that I’d choose this place again if I get to visit Kyoto.

A fully equipped kitchen made evenings fun, and I cooked rice with my friends there. This place works really well for solo travelers, and the lady was kind and accommodating. I stayed for two nights in November for under NT$2,000. Toei Ninja Village is nearby, and I found it really interesting. I’d stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Grandma, is Taiwanese tea tasty? Keep warm in winter! 😇

Room 203 was clean and comfortable, and the place had a homey feel. The receptionist was so kind and helpful, using Google Translate to chat with me in a friendly, thoughtful way. There’s a tasty restaurant called Tianxia Yipin near the intersection, and FamilyMart is also close. I’d definitely stay here again.
