We’d stay here again. It was the best Airbnb we tried in Japan, and it has two washing machines with dryers.

We stayed as two family households, and there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The house keeps the old Kyoto machiya exterior and interior atmosphere, while the bath, toilet, and kitchen have been updated with modern facilities, which made it easy to stay in. The illuminated courtyard garden was especially beautiful, and having a beer while looking at it was a real treat. There was alcohol gel available, a thoughtful touch for the time. I know these are difficult times, and I hope they can keep looking after this lovely machiya inn.

I found the facilities excellent and enjoyed the experience of staying in a Japanese house. It’s also right in the center of many tourist attractions, which makes the location convenient. I booked through Airbnb, though I’m not completely sure the address is correct. If this is the place I stayed, I’d highly recommend it.
