The shower area is open-air, but the bath water never got warm enough, and taking a bath felt like a good way to catch a cold. Later in the day the shower water was simply too cold as well. The underfloor heating was awful. In very cold weather, it broke down in the room and never improved. The kitchen and bathroom heating downstairs tripped too. Since the old building hasn't been renovated, cold drafts came in everywhere. Running things with broken equipment felt like treating customers like idiots. The management was very passive, and the heating was still broken when we checked out after three days. Also, when someone was bathing, the downstairs shower and toilet couldn't be used because the curtains were so transparent. Like our friend, you could end up waiting forever. I'd suggest booking a hotel instead of a hotel, so you're not paying for basic amenities that don't work.
