Tabitabi Stay「Kawama」

The river view from the bath was lovely, since the place sits along the Kamo River. Breakfast was a bread roll from a famous Kyoto bakery, with yogurt and fruit juice, and the fridge had water, apple juice, and grapes. The guesthouse is on the second floor of the dining hall, and in a way it feels like you have the whole place to yourself, with privacy and little worry about disturbing others or coronavirus. There are two Japanese-style rooms, which worked well for families. The decor is modern Japanese and the facilities are excellent, with state-of-the-art appliances including a Dyson hairdryer and a fully automatic drum washing machine. It doesn't have a drying function, but there is a bathroom dryer. Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo station is close by.

We really enjoyed the Kyoto-style townhouse and its relaxed feel between the Takase River and Kamo River. A supermarket is conveniently close. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with complete, excellent amenities, complimentary drinks, a washing machine, and a kitchenette. For two people, the price seemed reasonable for Kyoto.

We found the apartment clean, cozy, comfortable, and charming, with lots of little treats by the riverbank. The location was pleasant and close enough to walk to the old city. Highly recommend.
