Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sanjo-Karasuma

The staff were so friendly, and they even kept our bags for free when we arrived or wanted to head out for the day. We had a problem with our washing machine, so they moved us to a larger, better room. The in-room laundry was handy, though showers and laundry can make the room muggy, so use the dehumidifier. The subway exit is right nearby, with little restaurants and shops around it. Coffee from the machine and sake were nice extras, and the scavenger hunt between the hotels was a fun way to see Kyoto. We had a great four-night stay and would come back.

The free lobby drinks and footbath were a nice way to unwind after a day out, and the room's washing machine was useful halfway through our Japan trip. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and our room was clean. The location works well if you're mainly using the subway. There are convenience stores and a Starbucks nearby, though bus service around here is limited for sightseeing. We were satisfied with our stay.

The room was clean and the rates were very competitive. Ours had a laundry unit, which worked well, and the free sake and espresso machines were a nice touch. It's close to the karasuma line, with a 7-eleven just steps away, and we'll stay here again. Misti really made the start of our trip easy. I’d made mistakes forwarding our luggage and needed to send it on urgently, so I thought I’d missed the timing. She arranged next-day delivery and handled all the details. Her English was excellent, which made everything simple to sort out, and she was knowledgeable and kind. Thanks again, Misti!

Misti was thorough and kind when helping us check in, and the staff let us leave our luggage since we got there before check-in. The room was spacious, clean, and had plenty of amenities. It’s centrally located, so popular attractions are easy to reach on foot.
