We were so happy with our stay. The neighborhood was mostly peaceful and quiet, and the place felt cozy and homey. The room was spacious and had that traditional inn feel, with a private bath as a bonus. The hostess was friendly and helpful, amenities were always available, and everything was notably clean. Great Ryokan, highly recommend!

The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was spacious, the bathrooms were well stocked with great products, and the cat was precious. The location was ideal, right by Kyoto Station and bike rentals, with so much to do within walking distance. We felt lucky to find such a lovely stay in a big city, and hope to book again.

The hostess was extremely helpful. She showed us how to get around and gave us a full printed guide to the city. We stayed in a double room that had plenty of room for our family of four, plus a handy little fridge. The ryokan is on a quiet street, even though it’s right in the center of things, and just a 5-10 minute walk from Kyoto Station, so it was a great base for exploring. The one sad part was learning that Lilly the cat had died in August, so we didn’t get to meet her.

The owners were wonderfully hospitable, and the place is very close to Kyoto Station. I had a lovely one-night stay and got to experience a Japanese home.

Just five minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, this is a small but well kept ryokan. The owner was attentive and very helpful. The shared hot water bath can be used privately, and the shared shower and restroom were spotless. The room was quite large compared with Kyoto hotels. Lily the cat was lovely too!
