We found it easy to get around from here, with the local market and most shops close enough to walk to, plus good subway access. The hotel was clean and pleasant, had what we needed for a short stay, and the staff were really kind. One of the best hotel locations in Kyoto.

The location was perfect, and we had a pleasant stay overall. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and clean, although the view was just a wall. The washing machines were easy to use, but there was nowhere to hang clothes we didn't want to put in the dryer. The TV only had Japanese channels. Staff were polite and friendly, though their English was limited, so we used a translation app whenever we had a question. We put out the room-cleaning sign, but the room wasn't cleaned that day, and we had to ask again the next day. That was a bit of a hassle.

The staff were very kind, and the amenities were great. Our room felt roomy and spacious. Just be careful with the ladder to the bunks, it felt a little precarious and could be dangerous if you aren't careful.

Check-in and checkout were quick and easy, and the staff were a big help. The rooms were very clean, with a little wear showing here and there, though nothing serious. For the price, that was absolutely fine. I'd gladly stay again.

We liked it so much that we added two nights to our booking. The moderate Japanese style room we chose was really spacious, with a beautiful, big bathroom. Restaurants and cafes are right nearby, and the location is great. It was incredible value for what you get, and this was our favorite hotel in Japan. We'd recommend it to everyone.
