I spent six months here while training at Gunma University School of Medicine. The hotel and staff were nice, and I enjoyed my whole stay. Thank you, Maebashi hotel.

The price is somewhere in the middle, neither high nor low, but the free breakfast really let me down. They say it continues because it's popular, yet the whole offering is just curry, bean curd, and udon in a bowl with the soup stock on the side. It was exactly what the picture showed. We were there early, and everyone seemed underwhelmed. If this is the menu every time, I wouldn't come back. The chef says he wants people to eat good food, but serving only curry and mabo over and over will get tiring. The air conditioning is centralized, so guests can't adjust the temperature. People were saying it was too hot. That complaint came up repeatedly.

The building feels a bit dated, though the rooms are generally a little larger than in many modern hotels. The parking area has a height limit that rules out larger vehicles like MPVs and SUVs. Regular small sedans can get through.

The room was small, dusty, and musty, and the windows can't be opened. This was a terrible place to stay. You couldn't pay me to stay here.
