The service was really good, and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. I also loved soaking in the onsen with a view of the waterfall. A wonderful stay.

The large trash bin nearby was handy, and it was nice not having to wash up the dishes. The hotel’s big public bath was another plus, and having a shower and toilet in our own glamping tent was convenient. The tent’s interior had a Japanese feel, though it didn’t seem especially focused on style. Overall, I enjoyed the stay apart from the cleanliness issues. Cleanliness was the main letdown. Dust under the bed and a grimy mat under the table made the place feel dirty, which was disappointing since I chose glamping for a cleaner experience than camping. The sponge for the cooking utensils wasn’t clean either, and the toilet cleaning supplies were stored nearby. There were knives and other utensils, but hardly any cutlery, and no seasonings. I’d bring my own sponge and dish soap next time. The humidifier lid wouldn’t open. It still had water from the previous use, and when I tried to use it, my clothes got wet. It would also help to have pictures showing clearly what supplies are provided.

We drove from Saitama, and the trip felt like a proper getaway without being so long that it wore us out. On checkout day, Mashiko ware shops were only about five minutes away by car, so we could browse there too. We stayed in the Yamayuri room, a clean dome with great air conditioning. I was glad it had an electric carpet, and the lights were stylish. At night, we stepped outside and looked up at a beautiful starry sky, something we rarely get to see in the city. The staff at the front desk and the person who brought our BBQ ingredients were both lovely. There was more food than we could finish, and I especially liked the Nasunohara beef and Burmese soup. There was plenty of equipment and cutlery, though some of it was a little hard to use. We also had a relaxing soak in the hot spring on the property, looking out at the flowing waterfall. It really helped me unwind. My girlfriend and I had a great time, and I’d happily stay here again.

The hot spring was a peaceful place to unwind, surrounded by nature and a lovely view of the seasons. It helped ease the tiredness of everyday life. We also enjoyed a barbecue with local vegetables, ham, and sausages. The smell of everything grilling and those seasonal flavors made it feel like a special occasion. The facility takes reservations for its luxurious glamping domes, with just two groups staying each day. It was a lovely way to get away from the noise of the city and spend some quiet time enjoying what nature has to offer.

The BBQ was easy since the ingredients were supplied, so we barely had to prepare anything ourselves. The location was great too. I went with friends because I was curious about glamping, though I hadn’t done much traditional camping and felt a little unsure at first. The clean dome tents, nice amenities, and hot springs made it feel more like a slightly special hotel stay. I didn’t have any problems with the facilities. I’d come back if I get the chance.
