The onsen was hot and deep, just how I enjoyed it, and the horse sashimi was exceptional. The owner was so kind, and the food was wonderful and delicious. We brought an infant, and everyone was kind to us. Thank you for a nice experience.

The futons were comfortable and the service was good at this impressive ryokan. It was nice to have a hot spring on site, though it was just okay and had to be cooled down quite a bit before I could get in.

The food was delicious, and the stay left me with the feeling of a place known mainly to people in the know. Matsumoto Asama Onsen’s only free-flowing hot spring was truly wonderful and helped ease my everyday fatigue. Thank you very much.

The staff were friendly and attentive, including the student part-timers, and we had a very comfortable stay. The building is old, but it has been repaired and updated well. Its retro Showa-era feel is actually quite appealing.

The food is excellent and worth more than the price, and the landlady is very nice. I’m staying there on Wednesday, July 23rd. The private bath is free and can be used around the clock, back and forth. It’s a great inn with lots of Showa-era atmosphere. The staff are part-time students from Shinshu University!
