The breakfast in the morning was good, and the cleanliness was okay. The hotel itself is very, very old.

Check-in was easy, and I could leave my bag there so I could walk around before my room was ready. Thank you.

I really enjoyed staying at Matsumoto Hills, even though the room and facilities were a little run down. The room was clean, and so were the other facilities. Breakfast was free and satisfying, and laundry was free too, with detergent costing 100 yen. If you like sento, there’s a free sento facility on the second floor. The amenities are free to take.

I arrived around 11pm and left the next morning, so I only spent a short time there. The hotel seemed dated, but for the price it was good enough. I liked the common bath, which was smaller than I expected, especially since nobody else was using it. There’s parking just behind the hotel. Tell the staff you parked there and they’ll give you an 800 yen voucher for overnight parking, which is cheaper than the regular rate.

The room wasn’t that good, but the food and other things were good, so I’m giving it 4*.
