The building seems older, so the walls and floorboards are thin. I could hear other guests walking and talking, and that did bother me a bit in the room. I was exhausted, though, and slept soundly, so it wasn't a real problem. The place was very clean and well maintained. I arrived by car for a ski tour, and the tour company tickets were waiting for me when I got there. I picked them up and headed to the resort, presumably because I was late, but when I came back from skiing they welcomed me warmly and politely. A friend had handled the tour arrangements, so I didn't know what to expect, but dinner was delicious. If Norikura Snow Resort runs another crowdfunding campaign next season, I'll definitely support it. I'd also like to stay here again then.

The facilities were lovely and the interior was cute. I felt relaxed enough to reach the summit of Kengasaki (3,026 meters) the next morning without getting sick. I was hiking Mt. Norikura and stayed overnight at their dog-friendly camping facilities. I was a little unsure about pitching my tent, but the owner and other guests kindly helped me. The owner listened to my hiking plans and offered advice, so I'd recommend asking if you're planning a hike. Climbing a 3,000-meter mountain had become one of my dreams, and I'm grateful for the helpful guidance. I'd like to stay again, maybe share what it was like in the difficult weather, with cloudy skies, strong winds, and rain. Thank you very much.

I used to come here with my family almost every year when I was little. Twenty years later, I'm back with my own children. They've added a lovely outdoor bath, trampolines, a dog run, and campsites. The food is still delicious, the rooms are well maintained, and the conversations with the staff are as enjoyable as I remember. I want to come back again!

(December 2024) I came back for the first time in two years. Cooking is now handled by the second generation, and both the menu and flavors feel more modern. The food is delicious, while Mama's hospitality is still as wonderful as ever. The bath has been fully renovated and is clean, with very up-to-date faucets. The bathtub, though, is now less than half its former size. The water is heated like it would be in a regular home, and bathing is only available from evening into the night, not in the morning. Some people may prefer that to a 24-hour circulation system. It depends on the person. (Until the 2022-2023 winter season) I've stayed many times, and Norikura's best place to stay has never given me a bad experience. The food is delicious, the service welcoming, the baths warm, and some rooms have toilets. There's also now a tent site where you can bring a dog. Lots of families stay here, and it's lovely to see the kids enjoying themselves. The second generation has refreshed the menus, and you can enjoy the place in any season.
