Dogo Onsen Yachiyo

The private onsen was clean and roomy, and the futon was so fluffy I couldn’t feel the floor. The hotel’s location made it easy to walk around, though there’s a bit of a hill on the way up. The shopping area leading to Dogo Onsen is just minutes away, with plenty of good food and local gifts. Staff greeted me quickly, helped with my luggage, and had information in Japanese and English. My room had a lovely classic Japanese feel with modern amenities. They provided a yukata each day to help keep things clean.

We’ll remember this stay for a long time. The food and service were top quality, and the staff did their best to help even though they spoke limited English and our Japanese was limited too. Our room came with a private outdoor onsen tub, and we also enjoyed the public bath. Dogo Onsen Honkan, Dogo Park, and Shiki Museum were all an easy walk away. I’d recommend this hotel for a Dogo Onsen trip.

Really enjoyed the stay. The hotel feels very new inside, the staff are friendly, the food is good, and the location works well. I’ll definitely come back!

For the price, this was great value. The room had a fantastic open-air bath, and the public onsen were clean and pleasant too.
