Hatago Azumaya

Breakfast was generous and filling, and I could take my time in the bath since my family were the only ones using it that day. We stayed one night with breakfast included and had a relaxing time in the tatami room. We parked in front of the inn, though its location along the national highway meant we had to think carefully about how to park. It was a satisfying stay, and I’d like to come back.

The breakfast-only plan still came with lots of food, and it was delicious. The room was clean, comfortable, and roomy too. You can feel the landlady’s thoughtfulness throughout the inn. I don’t have much experience with places that take reservations only by phone, but this one was a real find.

I took a relaxed local train ride from Kyoto Station on my solo trip. The proprietress was wonderful, and the food was superb in both presentation and taste. Since the Hachiman Odori dance venue was far away, she kindly drove me there. It made for a fantastic trip.
