Bise House

We were a family of four with two preschoolers. The location was excellent for Churaumi Aquarium and the Fukugi Tree-lined Street. The kids loved walking there and seeing so many cats. Since the building is on its own, we didn’t have to deal with other guests and really enjoyed the time together. There wasn’t other noise either, and we could enjoy the trip fully. After Bise House we stayed at a relatively upscale large hotel, but Bise is what stuck in our memories. Thank you. The kitchen came fully equipped with knives, a cutting board, dish soap and sponge, cups, plates, spoons, and more. The washer and dryer on the balcony were incredibly useful, especially with children whose clothes get oily and sweaty so easily. We could wash things right away. The bed was quite soft, the sofa had stains, and the toilet had a noticeable smell.

The place was a good value, and although it sits along the prefectural road, the building is about 2 meters back, so road noise and visibility weren't a concern. The room was clean and kept up well, with no ocean view, but we did get a rare look out over banana fields. Inside there's a double bed, sofa, low table, TV, kitchen, induction stove, fridge, kettle, microwave, dishes, pots, and knives. Ocean Expo Park is close by, with enough to fill a day: the aquarium, dolphin shows, planetarium, and swimming in the ocean. The 4 PM aquarium tickets are a good deal, and there are fewer visitors then. You can also reach Bise Beach on foot through Bise's Fukugi tree-lined street. Watch for mosquitoes outdoors. I spent a month here working remotely and found it comfortable and reassuring. The management was polite, and the setting felt safe, with a nice balance of privacy and access to things nearby. The Fukugi tree-lined street area is just a minute away, while the beach and convenience store are a five-minute walk. That meant I could enjoy Okinawa without being in the daytime tourist bustle. It may not suit a large group on a long stay, but for one person or a couple, it worked really well. 😊
