The sunset views are amazing, and the hotel is really well equipped. My only gripe is that there’s no shower in the room, and the shared bathroom gets cleaned between 9 and 11 in the morning.

I only tried the onsen. It’s small and a bit old, but the view is great.

The seafood was fresh and really tasty, and I’d stay here again for sure. The hotel has two rooms where pets are allowed, so it’s best to book early. The rooms are spacious and have the usual amenities, though the sink is oddly low for an average-height adult. Breakfast is traditional Japanese food with little international choice, but who needs “mom’s dishes” from home while abroad? 😉

The water alone made the trip worthwhile. It’s rich in minerals and has a surprisingly thick feel, and the temperature was just right. With a little drizzle falling on us in the rotenburo, it felt perfect. The baths and atmosphere were nice, though nothing spectacular. We came with about 20 people on a rainy Saturday night while camping near the beach, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We stayed an hour or two, so I can’t speak to the hotel itself, but it was a memorable experience for all the right reasons.
