The local elder who served our breakfast and dinner was so kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!

The area is beautiful, and I’d love to explore more of it next time. We were comfortable in this quiet, clean, no-frills hotel, with spacious rooms and a pretty comfortable bed. The onsen is small but good, and the Japanese-style breakfast was perfectly adequate. We hadn’t booked dinner, which I regretted: we’d stocked up at the 7/11 about a 10-minute drive away, but next time I’d include dinner. I’d happily stay here again.

A typical clean, inexpensive Japanese family resort hotel. It’s simple, but well looked after.

The basic onsen was there, and the room was okay. But we arrived at 6 p.m. in a very remote area and couldn’t get dinner at the hotel because orders had to be placed by noon. I also found the 9,000-yen base rate for a single room a bit high, given that no food was included and service was generally limited.

A handy place to stay with pets when visiting the famous Takaragawa onsen. The rooms are roomy and very clean, and dinner was both inexpensive and tasty. There are free massage chairs, plus good free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
