Minshuku Yoshinoya

We stayed two nights while attending a nearby event. It’s a friendly lodge with well-equipped amenities, including an indoor hot spring bath. I’d be happy to come back.

The hosts were friendly and attentive, and everything was very clean. The locally sourced food was excellent. Highly recommended.

We’ve stayed here five years in a row now. The food is delicious, the rooms are clean, and our kids beg us to bring them back to Yoshinoya every year. They love that they lend out sleds and that they can play in the snow right in front of the inn.

It was my first stay at a guesthouse, and I felt a little nervous choosing Yoshinoya near Hodaigi Ski Resort. The place is dated, as other reviews said, but it’s kept very clean. I was impressed to see staff wiping the floors by hand after meals, and the restrooms and bathrooms were clean too. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the year-end price was very reasonable. Drinks with meals were also well priced. The frozen strawberries were delicious, and the staff kindly accommodated us after hours without complaint. They also gave us rides to and from the ski resort, including after checkout, which was a big help. I did notice a bit of hair on the blanket, which bothered me. Still, for the price, food, and service, I couldn’t fault the place. I’d definitely stay at Yoshinoya again.
