We’re staying again tonight, and the kids were delighted with dinner. The stewed beef was so tender and absolutely delicious. We’re looking forward to breakfast tomorrow ❤ We’ve already booked another visit, because every stay leaves us happy. The food is carefully prepared and delicious, from the homemade bacon, ham, and bread to the dishes and sauces. Our room had a sink and toilet, plus underfloor heating, so it was very comfortable. The bathroom had been renovated and had a stylish tankless toilet. There’s also a refrigerator and tea set in the second-floor hallway that guests can use anytime.

The building is a little old, but the plumbing has been renovated and it has all the basics. The bathroom is a good size for a family. You can also request takeout in advance. We stay here now and then with our family in both summer and winter. It’s great for skiing in Oze in summer and at Takatsue Ski Resort in winter, and the kind couple who run the guesthouse make us feel welcome. Their meals with local ingredients are a real highlight: the homemade bacon, ham, and yeast bread are wonderful, as are the red turnips in winter. In winter, booking a ski package can bring the lift ticket price down a lot.

The shared toilets were clean, though I would have liked alcohol spray in the men’s room to disinfect the seats. The room was tidy and well cared for, and the meal was delicious. We were a family of four, and the bath was clean as well. We took an evening bath with sunlight coming through the open west window, which felt like a real luxury. In the morning, the smoking room at the end of the hall was so sunny I almost envied it.

I heard you’re closing, which is a shame. The yeast bread was delicious and one of my fondest memories. I’d also wanted to hear Iwa play the banjo. Thanks for all your hard work, and see you in Gunma.
