Chura Gahna House Tsubogawa Naha

We had a comfortable four-night stay in July 2025 at Chura Gahna House Tsubogawa Naha. Our group of three used a room for four, with two double beds, a kitchen, bathroom, Japanese washlet toilet, balcony, desk, and a couch with coffee table. For the low price, it was a very convenient, spacious place in Naha. The location is handy, a few minutes on foot from Tsubogawa Monorail Station. Two grocery stores and several restaurants are nearby, with a large park and 7-Eleven across the street. We walk a lot, and Naminoue beach was about a 30-minute walk, while Tsuboya Pottery district took about 20 minutes. Since it was typhoon season, the large free umbrellas by the door came in useful. We slept really well. The mattresses and pillows were soft, the AC worked great, and the balcony’s double-pane glass kept out most street noise. Wi-Fi was also very good. The bathroom has a large tub and Japanese-style shower, plus good shampoo and body wash, though no conditioner. Outside it is a separate sink area with free toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand soap, hair dryer, and bath and face towels. There’s also a washer, dryer, detergent, coat hangers, and a clip hanger. The kitchen is well stocked with a large fridge and freezer, microwave/oven, rice cooker, hot water dispenser, and gas stove. There’s a rice scoop, metal spatula and ladle, long chopsticks, chef’s and paring knives, mugs, glasses, bowls, plates, chopsticks, big forks, and big spoons. I’d have preferred a silicone spatula for the non-stick pan. Dish soap and sponges are provided, but there’s no oil, salt, or pepper. Instructions came the day before. Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out is before 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out costs 1000yen per hour. You can leave bags before check-in or after checkout for 1000yen, plus 500yen per extra bag, and pickup after 15:00 has another 1000yen/hour charge. We didn’t use the parking, which is apparently 800yen per day. I’d stay here again if I return to Naha.

For the price, this is superb value. It’s a full studio with two double beds, a kitchen, washer and dryer, and separate bathroom and toilet. A 24-hour supermarket is close by, as is the monorail, and the staff were very responsive. I’d stay again.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and nice. We were able to arrange early check-in for a fee. Restaurants are in the area, with a supermarket one block away and a 7-Eleven around the corner. Tsubogawa Station on the monorail is about 450 meters away.

The location is great, but the AC didn’t work. There’s a Max Valu on the same street about a minute away where you can park. 7/11, Lawson, and food spots are around too.
