Kenman House Hakuba - Vacation STAY 82233

At check-in, the house asked me to write down my full credit card details, including the number, cardholder name, expiry date, and CVV, as a guarantee against possible extra charges beyond what I had already confirmed and paid through Booking.com. I felt very uncomfortable about this, since CVV details should not be requested or written down for security reasons. After I got home, my card was hacked and used for unauthorized transactions. I’ve never experienced card fraud before. I can’t prove where the information leaked, but the timing made me seriously concerned about how my details were handled, stored, and protected. The experience left me feeling unsafe, anxious, and disappointed. I strongly suggest the house stop asking for CVV and use safer options, such as a pre-authorization through a secure terminal, a deposit under Booking.com policies, or another standard method.
