We were there for just under 70 minutes, and I really wanted more time to relax with a drink. The food came out one dish after another, and the last pot was heating before we'd finished the fugu sashimi. There was room on the table, so the pace wasn't a space problem, but it made us feel rushed. If service had stretched another 30 minutes, my friend and I could have enjoyed two glasses of fin sake each. After we signed the receipt for the extra alcohol while we were still eating, our excitement dipped a bit. Please let people take their time over the meal. The food itself was delicious: fugu, octopus, turban shells, and milt, all served at a comfortable, spacious table. The fin sake had the biggest fin I've ever had, and it tasted great. The receptionist was lovely, and the dining area was clean. We came on the Meitetsu Kanko Fukuzukushi Day Trip Deluxe on a very cold day, so we warmed up in the hot springs first. Lunch starts at 11:00, but arriving early meant we could use the bath beforehand. If you skip the bath, the lounge is a comfortable place to wait. I thought it would suit couples, married couples, or banquets, and I'd like to return.

We had a spacious private room and a really nice lunch. I added both shirako tempura and grilled shirako, and they were delicious. The staff were friendly, and having the hot spring to ourselves left me very satisfied. My skin felt soft and smooth afterward. I suddenly wanted to go to Himakajima on the last day of the New Year, and the island made me think of octopus and pufferfish. I booked the pufferfish lunch online the night before, figuring I might snack on octopus while walking around. Next time I'd like to bring a friend. ♡ We took a high-speed ferry that got us to Himakajima around 8:40 AM. Even though it was the final day of the New Year holidays, it was quiet, and there weren't many people about in the morning. Renting a scooter was fun, and I got to enjoy the island fully. It was convenient that both Nishi Port ferry terminal and the inn were nearby. ♡

We were comfortable throughout the stay, from check-in through check-out. Dinner and breakfast service, room cleaning, futon preparation, and coffee service were all good, and the winter tiger pufferfish course satisfied us in both quality and quantity. The inn sits right beside Himakajima West Port, with souvenir stores and rental boat shops close by. A hot spring bath would have been a bonus, though, haha.

The guest rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable, mostly Japanese-style, with some rooms offering beds. You can also find a lounge and gift shop, and they have day-visit plans that include lunch and a bath. Private dining rooms make it easy to enjoy a meal in a relaxed setting. Fresh seafood is a big part of the menu, including tiger pufferfish, abalone, octopus, and sea urchin. Courses with sashimi, grilled pufferfish milt, and hot pot are especially popular. The inn has a modern Japanese style and a prime spot, just a one-minute walk from Himakajima West Port. From the rooftop open-air bath, "Tenkai no Yu," there are wide views over Mikawa Bay and Ise Bay, making for a very freeing soak.

I came for a day-trip lunch, so I can't say anything about the guest rooms. The pufferfish course was delicious, and even with extras like spiny lobster and abalone sashimi, plus soft roe tempura, it was still reasonably priced. They can also use the lobster in miso soup.
