After a long coach ride, lunch hit the spot. The soup was tasty, with a variety of things in it, and it wasn’t too salty. The seaside setting is lovely, with a nice view, and it’s also an onsen hotel.

I stopped by the onsen shop while visiting the castle. It’s a nice gift shop with a range of snacks and souvenirs, but I didn’t have time to stay or use the onsen.

The view from the hot bath is amazing. The sauna gets nice and hot, and the cold water bath is good too. Overall, the spa is decent.

I rode over on my motorbike for a drop-in bath. The water felt smooth and was really nice, and the price is a little lower after 6:00 PM. My one gripe is that the changing-room lockers don’t have locks.

You can take a day trip just for the bath, and the restaurant’s fried horse mackerel and croquette set meal is worth recommending. The guest rooms also have a perfect location, with views of both Unzen and the ocean.
