I stayed here on a business trip, and for the price the quality was great. It's a nice hotel with a breakfast buffet, and I recommend sitting by the river view at breakfast. The manga selection in the second-floor lobby is fantastic. I could've kept reading all night, but felt a little embarrassed and stopped. The hotel really is right along the river, which gives the stay a slightly elegant feel. It's somewhat far from the station, but I like walking, so that was fine. Even though I had a smoking room, it didn't smell at all, which was a plus. The exterior and interior are dated, but that doesn't get in the way of spending a comfortable night.

The window looked out onto a beautiful lake, and the hotel is in the middle of town with plenty of places to shop and eat. Parking was limited and cost 300¥ per night. We had a room with two single beds and one double, which worked well for our family of four with young kids, though it was a bit cramped. The staff were helpful and quickly replaced all three blankets when we pointed out stains. Unfortunately, under the mattresses the beds were full of dust. Update: Breakfast was a free buffet, with a reasonable selection and quality.

The complimentary breakfast and Japanese hot baths are included, and the riverside or lake walk is really invigorating. It's family friendly as well. For a business trip, this is a great fit, especially if you have a car and want to avoid paying a fortune for parking. The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is far enough from the station to avoid the crowds, but everything important is still within walking distance.

The main advantages are the low price and the parking. The lot isn't protected from people who aren't staying at the hotel, though. The hotel isn't very clean, and the internal staff don't speak English.

Nice breakfast viking and nice staff. Parking is available, and there's free self laundry and drying. The drinks bar, massage chair, desktop internet, books, and hot water bath are all free too.
