The room was neat and clean, and the station is just a few minutes away on foot. There’s no tub in the room, though you can use the public bath downstairs in the basement. I wasn’t keen on the odd smell from the shower.

Recently renovated, with clean rooms and a decent public bath. Breakfast was good, and the hotel is close to JR station. Parking wasn’t expensive either. Good value for a city hotel in Mito.

There were seven golfers and our spouses in our group, and we used Mito as our base for golf. The Designer Rooms were especially nice, breakfast was good, and the hot bath and laundry facilities worked well for us. Mito Sannomaru is handy for exploring, with JR station nearby and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. A great place to stay in Mito.

The staff were all friendly, and quite a few foreigners were staying here. The hotel itself feels old, with only the lobby redecorated. The air conditioning wasn’t working well, and the lift to the public bath seemed due for replacement.
