The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was great.

The owner is local and shared tips on nearby shops and places to visit. We also had a really good chat about his hopes for bringing more life to the area. I booked at short notice for a solo stay, and they were very accommodating. The room was spotless, and everything went smoothly.

I stayed in November 2024 while in Misaki for work and needed somewhere near the port. Since I was on a motorcycle, the fact that this was a rider's house worked perfectly. It's apparently about a five-minute walk from the Misaki Port bus stop. The nearest convenience store seems to be the FamilyMart at Misaki Port, so you can stop there if you need anything. The building is basically a guesthouse, with lockable rooms and shared facilities. You get a key for the building and another for your room, a bit like having a private room in a 3LDK or 4LDK house. The shower room has no bathtub, and the toilet and washroom are shared. The lower-floor restaurant apparently turns into a bar at night. You go up the stairs beside it, and the roof is the garden of RSD Village. The building is further in from there. There were no other guests while I was there, so they kindly upgraded my room. It was spacious, with a proper desk for computer work, lots of power outlets, and good air conditioning. I was comfortable staying there. There's one washroom on each floor. The second-floor one is in the same room as the toilet and shower, so you can't use it if someone is using either of those. There's also a clean toilet with a bidet on the first floor. The common area has books and manga, plus kitchen gear like a microwave, so guests can hang out or make a simple meal. Breakfast is available in the dining area. I had the 1,400 yen set with the natto and egg option. The seafood was excellent, as you'd expect in Misaki, and there were lots of side dishes. It was a really filling meal and a great way to start the day. It's a pleasant, clean place with delicious food, and I'd recommend it. You don't have to be traveling by motorcycle to stay here.

The owner is easy to talk to and gives you a comfortable amount of space. It feels like staying at your own holiday home, with the quiet mood of a port town around you. Meals are optional, and they choose delicious ingredients from Misaki with care, which is a real highlight. From Thursday to Sunday, the first-floor cafe space serves a light sea-and-mountain breakfast that makes you want another helping.

It feels just like being at home, apart from the fact that you only have a shower. We enjoyed taking a drink up to the rooftop before bed and looking out at the ocean. If it rains, the living room sofa is the fallback. It's a short walk from Misaki Port, though Google Maps sends you up and down some stairs. Skip those and keep going straight, then turn left to reach the villa's first-floor cafe bar. Check-in and payment happen by the entrance on the second floor, and the place really is a rental villa. You can cook groceries or bring food from a nearby restaurant, and a barbecue can be ordered if you reserve ahead. There's also a home-style washer and dryer, just let the owner know if you use them. The young owner is busy running the villa, cafe bar, and farm, so phone replies can be slow when things get hectic. It's best to ask questions well in advance.
