On my cycling trip across Japan, I ended up here in the rain and had a great stay. It’s an older hotel, but well managed. My bike had a safe place, and there’s a Lawson right outside. Downstairs there’s a hot bath and a tiny sauna. Breakfast was extensive and really good quality.

Could use a renovation, but it’s a decent standard hotel for a short stay in Miyako.

There’s a convenience store and drugstore nearby, though no restaurants around that area. The hotel sits behind the main street. Staff were polite as usual, the room was a good size, and the public bath was hot and comfortable. The price felt pretty high for the room. WiFi didn’t work on the sixth floor, and staff didn’t do anything about it. I wouldn’t stay again if I could find another place.

The room was surprisingly large for a single in Japan, and the hotel is handy for both the station and a convenience store. If you’re using public transportation, there really isn’t another option in the area, so it feels a bit pricey for what you get.
