Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo

The hotel is very nice and clean, and the location worked perfectly for our Kyoto visit. Guests can use the onsen and public bath. Our first room faced the road, and late night car and motorcycle noise bothered us a bit. We asked to move, and the staff were very helpful.

The Onsen spa was lovely, and I liked the amenities in the room. The stylish room had a very comfortable mattress, especially compared with mattresses at other Japanese hotels. The hotel is quite central for sightseeing and shopping, and just one subway stop from Kyoto Train Station.

Right by Gojo Station, with Shijo and Karasuma not far away, the hotel is in a great spot. I also liked walking around the clean, pleasant street outside, especially in autumn. I spent four days here and felt relaxed and properly on vacation, thanks to the staff and interior. The hospitality was excellent, and the hotel wasn’t too crowded. Most guests were well-mannered. My room was spacious by Japanese standards and very clean. There’s a public onsen and a nice breakfast too. A warm welcome, a tourist-friendly place, and a solid three-to-four-star hotel in central Kyoto. Recommended.

The room is very small, but it was clean and had all the facilities I needed. We relaxed in the lovely hot bath, and the TV having Netflix was a nice treat. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the longest street of shops and restaurants, with a 7 eleven nearby for supplies. There are laundry facilities on several floors, and you can check availability on the TV. Ice and water are in the laundry rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a short stay.
