The key pickup and breakfast spots are both far from the accommodation, so having a car makes things easier. At the key pickup place there were free and paid rental items, and the ones we used were free. With breakfast included, you eat at the restaurant and can choose from four options: curry, pizza toast, omelet, or pancakes. The servings are generous, and soup and drinks are included at no extra cost. The meal was tasty and filling, and if you have a car the restaurant is easy to reach. Reception is next to the dining area, so I could ask questions in the morning. There’s no stove, but the tableware is well stocked. The washing machine and bathroom dryer were very helpful, and detergent was provided. We could get more if we ran out. There’s a large drying rack, but it wasn’t enough for our family of four, with elementary school age kids and older, so we used hangers too. There’s an outlet and USB-A port by the bed, which made charging devices easy. A supermarket is nearby. With a car, it’s also convenient to go to Max Value, which has a 100-yen shop and bookstore, with a drugstore on the way. Footsteps from upstairs were quite loud, though I suppose that can’t be helped. There’s a shower in the parking lot for washing your feet, but it’s hard to use when your car is parked there. This was my first booking here, and it was convenient enough that I’d definitely come again.

We were a family of four, with two of us in single beds and two on sofa beds. The room was very clean, like an apartment, and quiet at night despite facing a road with light traffic. There’s no view, but the internet connection was excellent. The TV only has terrestrial channels. There’s a safe in the room, which was reassuring. Parking right in front made it easy to bring in our luggage. The kitchen had enough equipment for four people, including a kettle, toaster, and microwave, though no seasonings. There was also a washer and bathroom dryer. With the 4.3 kg machine, towels came out dry by the next day. Detergent is provided, but the water makes clothes feel stiff, so you might want to bring fabric softener or buy some nearby. There were hangers, towel racks, and enough room to dry quite a bit of laundry in the bathroom. The room has an entry hall, and shoes aren’t allowed inside. Thin disposable slippers are provided, but bring indoor shoes if you prefer. When the trash piles up, you can take it to the collection point outside to avoid smells. The bathroom and toilet are separate, with a bidet. The tub is long enough to soak in, and there’s plenty of hot water in the shower. There’s no cleaning service during the stay, but a mop and other cleaning tools are available. The bathroom has no hooks, though, so there’s nowhere to hang used bath towels. Hooks would be helpful. The room is clean and comfortable, and for Miyako Island the price is reasonable if you don’t mind having no view. You check in at a different location, then check out by dropping the key card into the post box by the exit. I’d gladly stay again if I get the chance. Thank you.

As I always say, I judge the price, not how this compares with luxury or budget hotels. For the cost, it’s too expensive, even though the room was clean and reasonably spacious. The TV was small, and the air conditioner was in an odd spot. With two people it was cold, while the other two were hot. A fan would have helped. There’s a kitchen but no stove, so cooking isn’t possible. The bigger problem was the terrible mold and sewage smell. Maybe it was the start of the season, but even after washing and drying my clothes, I couldn’t wear them. Please cover the sink drain as soon as guests arrive. It was too hot with the window open, and the smell made it impossible to sleep. I’m worried it may be bad for my health too. The bed felt damp and took until morning to dry out, which made it hard to sleep. I wonder if the staff were new. Whenever I asked a question, they checked with someone beside them. In the end, I had to get my family out early in the morning while they were loudly booing.

We stayed for two nights in early September. The only thing that bothered us much was the noise from upstairs. It seemed there were families with small children, and we could hear them running and jumping in their room at night and early in the morning. The hotel is a little way from the city center, which meant less traffic and quiet nights. Our room was clean, and the Simmons bed was incredibly comfortable. Having a washing machine was useful for washing our beachwear straight away and wearing it again the next day. We were on the first floor and saw a few ants and insects, but that’s to be expected in Miyakojima and didn’t bother us. The popular Teppanyaki Boburi restaurant is within walking distance. The interior was clean, and the food was delicious. I recommend it.

If you want a roomy, comfortable place to stay in Miyakojima, this villa-style accommodation is a good option. It doesn’t have the romantic feel of a hotel, but rooms at similar prices are often small. I reviewed the Superior Twin Room at Ecourt Irabu Bridge Premier. It’s about 40 square feet (12 pyeong) for 2-4 guests, with two single beds, two sofa beds, a separate shower and toilet, a washing machine, and a villa-style kitchen. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and checkout at 11:00 AM. There’s no breakfast or cleaning service. Airport pickup is available by reservation through Fine Rent-a-Car at the airport, and it’s cheaper than booking separately. Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan is famous for its beautiful ocean.
