The laundry setup was a real plus: there’s a washing machine in the room, a bathroom drying function, and free detergent for the whole stay. The room itself was roomy, with a kitchen, separate bath and toilet, a large fridge, microwave, safe, more than ten hangers, and bedside outlets. The bed felt a little soft but comfortable. Wi-Fi reached 89 Mbps. The view is just the parking lot, which didn’t bother me, and there’s no balcony. Hot water was plentiful, though the pressure was weak and filling the tub took a long time. I’m 175 cm and had to bend my legs in the somewhat narrow tub. There are only a couple of wall outlets, but the bedside ones were handy, and the TV has HDMI for a Chromecast. It isn’t a smart TV. A hair dryer and toothbrush were provided. No gym, meals, or free cleaning, including on longer stays. Ask the office about paid cleaning. I stayed in March 2025 in a studio with a sofa bed, in a first-floor room. I’m writing this mostly as a personal note, since I stay 100-130 nights a year in Japan and abroad and care especially about bathrooms, gyms, and laundry. The space, facilities, location, and price all suited me very well. The biggest problem was sound from upstairs. Footsteps came through the thin floor constantly, even ordinary adult walking, and my travel companion noticed it too. There didn’t seem to be children upstairs during our stay, but a family with kids or a lively group could make it much harder to bear below. Earplugs may help, or you can ask at check-in for a second-floor room, depending on availability. Since this seems to be a structural issue, I doubt it will change. We didn’t have especially noisy neighbors, so it could have been worse, but the noise still makes me unsure about coming back. People who don’t mind hearing others, including families or groups, may find it a good fit. Public transit access is difficult, so plan on a rental car or the management company’s shuttle. It’s about 10 minutes by car from Miyako Airport and 20 from Shimojishima Airport. Check-in happens at the management office, Pine Rent-a-Car, near Miyako Airport, not at the property, so don’t head straight to the hotel. Drugstore Mori is about a five-minute walk; MaxValu is three minutes by car and has a FamilyMart beside it. Both are useful for inexpensive groceries, snacks, and alcohol. San-A Miyako City near the airport has shops including Muji. There aren’t budget restaurants within walking distance. Hirara’s center is about five minutes by car, and walking there for drinks takes over 20 minutes, so consider a taxi. Yappari Steak Miyakojima and Miyakojima Tonkatsu Ryugu are beside MaxValu. There’s no gym, but laundry is easy to manage in the room. Parking is right out front for loading bags, though the spaces aren’t large and may be hard to use if several cars are already there. Fukuya, roughly 15 minutes on foot, is a very local place with cheap prices and generous portions. Ordering, serving yourself, and clearing up are all on you, and it’s cash only. The insect warning sign is conspicuous, though we didn’t see any bugs. For running, I did an approximately 18 km round trip from San-A Miyakojima City southwest with the sea to my right, via Sanitsu Beach to Nishihama Beach. National Route 390 has traffic, but the country roads are quiet and pleasant. Google Maps doesn’t show the stretch between Sanitsu Beach and Nishihama Beach, but there’s a well-kept path along the coast. Check-in staff were polite and helpful.
